Gushue lost 8-5 to Reid Carruthers (Winnipeg, MB) where Gushue responded with a 10-2 win over Jeremy Mallais (Saint John, NB). Gushue won 8-6 against Mark Kean (Fenelon Falls, ON), then won 9-6 against Adam Casey (Charlottetown, PEI) and 8-7 against Kevin Koe (Calgary, AB). Gushue won 6-5 against Brad Jacobs (Sault Ste Marie, NONT), then won 7-4 against Jean-Michel Menard (Gatineau, QC) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Gushue earned 20.000 world rankings points for their Top 4 finish in the Tim Hortons Brier, remaining in 3rd place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 11 after improving upon their best so far this season. Gushue ranks 3rd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 185.950 points earned so far this season.
