Koe won 7-5 against Jean-Michel Menard (Gatineau, QC), then won 8-4 against Adam Casey (Charlottetown, PEI). Koe went on to lose 6-3 against Pat Simmons (Calgary, CAN). Koe lost 8-7 to Brad Gushue (St. John's, NL) where Koe responded with a 7-4 win over Jamie Koe (Yellowknife, NT). Koe went on to lose 6-5 against Steve Laycock (Saskatoon, SK). Koe responded with a 8-7 win over Reid Carruthers (Winnipeg, MB). Koe won 8-3 against Jeremy Mallais (Saint John, NB) in their final qualifying round match.

Koe earned 12.000 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, remaining in 4th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 6 after improving upon their best so far this season. Koe ranks 6th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 131.730 points earned so far this season.
