Joanisse went on to lose 10-9 against Cotter. Joanisse responded with a 6-5 win over Brent Pierce (Kelowan, BC). Joanisse won 7-6 against Sean Geall (New Westminster, BC), then won 8-6 against Tom Buchy (Kimberley, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the CDI BC Mens Championship, Joanisse take home 5.000 world rankings points, moving up 10 spots the World Ranking Standings into 80th place overall with 23.264 total points.
