To advance to the championship game, Hackner won 5-4 over Dylan Johnston (Thunder Bay, NONT) in the semifinals of the 2015 Northern Ontario Travelers Mens Championship in Kenora, Northern Ontario;
Hackner finished 5-2 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Hackner defeated Jeff Currie (Thunder Bay, NONT) 6-4, then won 7-4 against Chris Glibota (Sault Ste Marie, NONT) and 7-6 against Bryan Burgess (Kakabeka Falls, NONT). Hackner won 6-3 against Mike Jakubo (Sudbury, NONT). Hackner went on to lose 9-8 against Johnston. Hackner lost 6-4 to Jacobs where Hackner responded with a 9-3 win over Ben Mikkelsen (Thunder Bay, NONT) in their final qualifying round match.
With their runner-up finish at the Northern Ontario Travelers Mens Championship, Hackner take home 4.450 world rankings points, moving up 25 spots the World Ranking Standings into 95th place overall with 16.035 total points. Hackner ranks 64th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 16.035 points earned so far this season.
