In their opening game, Sweeting defeated Tracy Horgan (Sudbury, NONT) 6-4, then won 6-5 against Mary-Anne Arsenault (Halifax, NS) and 10-4 against Sylvie Robichaud (Moncton, NB). Sweeting won 7-2 against Heather Strong (St. John's, NL), then won 6-5 against Suzanne Birt (Charlottetown, PEI) and 10-5 against Patti Knezevic (Prince George, BC). Sweeting won 8-6 against Lauren Mann (Montreal , QC), then won 8-5 against Julie Hastings (Thornhill, ON) and 7-6 against Rachel Homan (Ottawa, CAN). Sweeting went on to lose 9-1 against Stefanie Lawton (Saskatoon, SK). Sweeting lost 10-5 to Jones in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts, Sweeting take home 35.000 world rankings points, remaining in 4th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 29 after improving upon their best so far this season. Sweeting ranks 2nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 175.740 points earned so far this season.
