McLeod went on to lose 8-5 against Greg Skauge (Yellowknife, NT). McLeod responded with a 1-0 win over Nick Saturnino (Inuvik, NT) in their final qualifying round match.

McLeod earned 1.100 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, moving up 235 spots the World Ranking Standings into 325th place overall with 1.100 total points. McLeod ranks 270th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 1.100 points earned so far this season.
