Dropkin won 9-3 against Jake Vukich (Bemidj, MN), then won 7-1 against Matt Sandquist (Wausau, WI) and 7-3 against Wesley Pedersen (Midland, MI) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the USA Junior Mens National Championships, Dropkin take home 5.000 world rankings points, moving up 13 spots the World Ranking Standings into 84th place overall with 19.618 total points. Dropkin ranks 72nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 13.530 points earned so far this season.
