Birchard won 9-2 against Ashley Groff (Elmwood, MB), then won 7-5 against Jennifer Klapp (Winnipeg, MB) and 7-0 against Rachel Burtnyk (Winnipeg, MB). Birchard won 9-8 against Christine MacKay (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
