Kauste responded with a 10-7 win over Wickstrom. Kauste went on to lose 10-4 against Puustinen. Kauste lost 12-5 to Norri. Kauste lost 7-2 to Malmi. Kauste lost 7-6 to Juhasz. Kauste lost 11-8 to Oksanen. Kauste lost 10-3 to Wickstrom in their final qualifying round match.
