Uusipaavalniemi went on to lose 8-2 against Kauste. Uusipaavalniemi lost 14-0 to Sullanmaa. Uusipaavalniemi lost 9-7 to Kokkola where Uusipaavalniemi responded with a 11-4 win over Saarelainen. Uusipaavalniemi went on to lose 8-4 against Rantamaki in their final qualifying round match.
