Val Sweeting (Edmonton, AB) won 6-3 over Rachel Homan (Ottawa, ON) in the Final of the Home Hardware Canada Cup of Curling, held December 3 - 7, 2014 in Camrose, Alberta. To advance to the championship game, Sweeting won 7-6 over Heather Nedohin (Sherwood Park, AB) in the semifinals of the 2014 Home Hardware Canada Cup of Curling in Camrose, Alberta;
 
Sweeting finished 4-2 in the 7-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Sweeting lost 12-6 to Nedohin, then responded with a 8-2 win over Sherry Anderson (Saskatoon, SK). Sweeting won 10-8 against Jennifer Jones (Winnipeg, MB). Sweeting went on to lose 7-6 against Homan. Sweeting responded with a 8-5 win over Allison Flaxey (Listowel, ON). Sweeting won 5-4 against Sherry Middaugh (Coldwater, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Home Hardware Canada Cup of Curling Championship title, Sweeting earned 22.500 world rankings points along with the $22,000CDN first prize cheque, remaining in 6th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 229.568 total points. Sweeting ranks 2nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 110.580 points earned so far this season.
