Sarah Wark (Victoria, BC) finished 3-0 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Wark defeated Kristy Lewis (New Westminster, BC) 7-4, then won 4-1 against Kelly Shimizu (Richmond, BC) and 8-5 against Stephanie Prinse (Chilliwack, BC) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the BC Scotties Open Event #1 Championship title, Wark earned 2.500 world rankings points, moving up 48 spots the World Ranking Standings into 119th place overall with 4.425 total points. Wark ranks 76th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 4.425 points earned so far this season.
