After advancing directly to the championship game, Brad Jacobs (Sault Ste. Marie, ON) lost 8-3 to Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, MB) in the Final of the Home Hardware Canada Cup of Curling, held December 3 - 7, 2014 in Camrose, Alberta.
 
Jacobs finished 4-2 in the 7-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Jacobs lost 8-4 to Kevin Koe (Calgary, AB), then responded with a 8-4 win over Jim Cotter (Vernon, BC). Jacobs went on to lose 5-4 against Brad Gushue (St. John's, NL). Jacobs responded with a 7-4 win over Glenn Howard (Penetanguishene, ON). Jacobs won 7-5 against McEwen, then won 11-6 against John Morris (Calgary, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Home Hardware Canada Cup of Curling, Jacobs take home 30.000 world rankings points along with the $17,000CDN prize, remaining in 2nd place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 428.000 total points. Jacobs ranks 2nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 164.000 points earned so far this season.
