Kirkpatrick lost 6-5 to Chris Gardner (Ottawa, ON) where Kirkpatrick responded with a 8-3 win over Tom Wharry (Montreal, QC). Kirkpatrick won 6-3 against Jamie Koe (Yellowknife, NT), then won 6-4 against Wes Craig (Mill Bay, BC) and 8-5 against Jared Kolomaya (Gimli, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
