In their opening game, Kim defeated Chelsea Farley (Naseby, NZ) 9-4, then won 6-4 against Ayumi Ogasawara (Sapporo, JPN) and 10-3 against Australia's Kim Forge. Kim won 7-4 against Sijia Liu (Harbin, CHN), then won 9-2 against Farley and 7-4 against Ogasawara. Kim won 6-4 against Australia's Kim Forge, then won 3-2 against Liu in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Pacific-Asia Curling Championships, Kim take home 8.750 world rankings points, moving up 5 spots the World Ranking Standings into 21st place overall with 52.140 total points.
