Tyler MacKenzie (Charlottetown, PEI) qualified for the 2014 Truro Cashspiel playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 4-0 against Chad Stevens (Halifax, NS). of the 2014 Truro Cashspiel in Truro, Nova Scotia, Canada;

MacKenzie finished 3-2 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, MacKenzie defeated Tyler Harris (Charlottetown, PEI) 10-7, then won 6-1 against Paul Dexter (Halifax, NS). MacKenzie went on to lose 5-2 against Glen MacLeod (Halifax, NS). MacKenzie responded with a 7-6 win over Mike Kennedy (Edmunston, NB). MacKenzie went on to lose 7-4 against Jamie Murphy (Halifax, NS) in their final qualifying round match.

MacKenzie earned 0.750 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Truro Cashspiel, moving up 2 spots the World Ranking Standings into 140th place overall with 8.300 total points. MacKenzie ranks 246th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 0.750 points earned so far this season.
