Edin finished 2-2 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Edin lost 7-2 to Thomas Ulsrud (Oslo, NOR), then responded with a 7-2 win over Peter De Cruz (Geneva, SUI). Edin won 6-3 against Tom Brewster (Aberdeen, UK). Edin went on to lose 6-4 against Smith in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the European Masters Championship title, Edin earned 16.380 world rankings points along with the $12,952CDN first prize cheque. Edin move up 2 spots after posting a net gain of 10.38 points improving upon their best results so far this season, ranking 5th overall with 286.904 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Edin ranks 4th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 172.555 points earned so far this season.
