In their opening game, Schneider defeated Jeff Mosley (Estevan, SK) 9-2, then won 7-3 against Jeff Hartung (Langenburg, SK) and 6-5 against Clint Dieno (Saskatoon, SK). Schneider went on to lose 6-1 against Brent Gedak (Estevan, SK). Schneider responded with a 4-1 win over Ryan Skjerdal (Weyburn, SK). Schneider went on to lose 8-5 against Brent Pierce (Kelowna , BC). Schneider lost 10-8 to Braeden Moskowy (Regina, SK) in their final qualifying round match.

Schneider earned 0.900 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, moving up 18 spots the World Ranking Standings into 228th place overall with 2.400 total points. Schneider ranks 205th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 0.900 points earned so far this season.
