Scheidegger finished 3-0 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Scheidegger defeated Karynn Flory (Edmonton, AB) 1-0, then won 8-2 against Tanilla Doyle (Calgary, AB) and 6-3 against Vey in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Medicine Hat Charity Classic Championship title, Scheidegger earned 5.500 world rankings points along with the $4,500CDN first prize cheque, moving up 3 spots the World Ranking Standings into 31st place overall with 33.091 total points.
