To advance to the championship game, Barber won 8-3 over Jill Shumay (Maidstone , SK) in the semifinals of the 2014 Medicine Hat Charity Classic in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada; and won 5-3 over Jolene Campbell (Swift Current, SK) in the quarterfinals. of the 2014 Medicine Hat Charity Classic in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada;

Barber finished 3-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Barber defeated Japan's Rina Ida 7-5, then won 7-4 against Jodi Marthaller (Lethbridge, AB). Barber went on to lose 4-3 against Shumay. Barber responded with a 6-5 win over Nadine Chyz (Calgary, AB) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Medicine Hat Charity Classic, Barber take home 3.850 world rankings points along with the $3,000CDN prize, moving up 8 spots the World Ranking Standings into 72nd place overall with 11.625 total points. Barber ranks 43rd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 6.700 points earned so far this season.
