Scales Reaches 2014 Whites Drug Store Classic Quarters

Brent Scales (Swan River, MB) qualified for the 2014 Whites Drug Store Classic playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 5-3 against Kevin Marsh (Saskatoon, SK). of the 2014 Whites Drug Store Classic in Swan River, Manitoba, Canada;

Scales finished 3-2 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Scales defeated Scott Bitz (Regina, SK) 10-7, then went on to lose 5-4 against Jeff Hartung (Langenburg, SK). Scales lost 10-2 to David Murdoch (Stirling, SCO) where Scales responded with a 8-5 win over William Lyburn (Winnipeg, MB). Scales won 7-5 against Reid Carruthers (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.

Scales earned 3.210 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Whites Drug Store Classic, moving up 50 spots the World Ranking Standings into 168th place overall with 5.122 total points. Scales ranks 111th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 3.210 points earned so far this season.
