Stoughton finished 3-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Stoughton defeated Terry Marteniuk (Dauphin, MB) 7-1, then won 6-4 against Josh Heidt (Kerrobert, SK) and 6-1 against Reid Carruthers (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Whites Drug Store Classic Championship title, Stoughton earned 10.700 world rankings points along with the $9,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 1 spots the World Ranking Standings into 14th place overall with 135.386 total points. Stoughton ranks 7th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 72.225 points earned so far this season.
