Geall finished 4-1 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Geall defeated Dean Joanisse (New Westminster, BC) 7-3, then won 7-4 against Randie Shen (Taipei, TPE) and 6-0 against Brad Thompson (Kamloops, BC). Geall won 6-0 against Chris Baier (Victoria, BC). Geall went on to lose 6-2 against Jim Cotter (Kelowna/Vernon, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Hub International Crown of Curling, Geall take home 5.145 world rankings points along with the $6,000CDN prize, moving up 12 spots the World Ranking Standings into 68th place overall with 17.846 total points. Geall ranks 38th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 9.880 points earned so far this season.
