Sean Geall (New Westminster, BC) lost 6-5 to Grant Dezura (Maple Ridge, BC) in the Final of the Cloverdale Cash Spiel, held September 19 - 21, 2014 in Surrey, British Columbia. To advance to the championship game, Geall won 6-2 over Chris Baier (Victoria, BC) in the semifinals of the 2014 Cloverdale Cash Spiel in Surrey, British Columbia; and won 7-6 over Dean Joanisse (New Westminster, BC) in the quarterfinals. of the 2014 Cloverdale Cash Spiel in Surrey, British Columbia;

Geall finished 3-1 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Geall defeated Lyle Sieg (Seattke, WA) 5-4, then won 12-1 against Maxim Langlais (North Vancouver, BC) and 8-2 against John Molendyk (Vancouver, BC). Geall went on to lose 7-3 against Dezura in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Cloverdale Cash Spiel, Geall take home 1.750 world rankings points along with the $1,600CDN prize, moving up 15 spots the World Ranking Standings into 88th place overall with 9.716 total points. Geall ranks 38th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 1.750 points earned so far this season.
