In their opening game, Fleming lost 8-2 to Shannon Kleibrink (Calgary, AB), then responded with a 11-4 win over Chana Martineau (Edmonton, AB). Fleming went on to lose 8-5 against Zi-Qi Dong (Harbin, CHN) in their final qualifying round match.
