To advance to the championship game, Geall won 4-3 over Neil Dangerfield (Victoria, BC) in the semifinals of the 2014 Vancouver Island Shootout in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada;
Geall finished 3-0 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Geall defeated Chris Baier (Victoria, BC) 7-5, then won 6-3 against Joanisse and 8-6 against Brent Pierce (Kelowna , BC) in their final qualifying round match.
With their runner-up finish at the Vancouver Island Shootout, Geall take home 1.750 world rankings points along with the $2,500CDN prize, moving up 2 spots the World Ranking Standings into 70th place overall with 20.821 total points. Geall ranks 47th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 12.855 points earned so far this season.
