Edin finished 2-2 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Edin lost 3-0 to Carruthers, droppimg another game, 4-1 to McEwen where Edin responded with a 4-1 win over Steve Laycock (Saskatoon, SK). Edin won 4-0 against Glenn Howard (Penetanguishene, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
