Shannon Beddows (Cannington, ON) qualified for the 2014 Village of Taunton Mills Gord Carroll Curling Classic playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 7-4 against John Epping (Toronto, ON).

Beddows finished 4-2 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Beddows defeated Rob Retchless (Toronto, ON) 8-5, then won 5-4 against Ontario's Brent Ross. Beddows went on to lose 7-2 against Ontario's Chris Gardner. Beddows lost 8-5 to Ontario's Mark Homan where Beddows responded with a 8-5 win over Fred Maxie (Madison, WI). Beddows won 8-2 against Josh Adams (Ottawa, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

Beddows earned 3.585 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Village of Taunton Mills Gord Carroll Curling Classic, moving up 173 spots the World Ranking Standings into 194th place overall with 3.585 total points.
