Josh Adams (Ottawa, ON) finished 3-3 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Adams lost 7-2 to Ontario's Scott McDonald, then responded with a 6-3 win over New York's Dean Gemmell. Adams lost 8-2 to Shannon Beddows (Cannington, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
