Dow finished 2-2 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Dow lost 8-3 to McDonald, droppimg another game, 8-2 to Gary McCullough (Thornhill, ON) where Dow responded with a 10-3 win over Daryl Shane (Waterloo, ON). Dow won 6-4 against Ontario's Travis Belchior in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Stroud Sleeman Cash Spiel Championship title, Dow earned 2.500 world rankings points along with the $3,200CDN first prize cheque, moving up 27 spots the World Ranking Standings into 148th place overall with 5.606 total points.
