Thurston finished 5-2 in the 32-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Thurston defeated Allison Flaxey (Listowel, ON) 6-0, then won 6-5 against Ontario's Clancy Grandy and 7-1 against Colleen Kilgallen (Winnipeg, MB). Thurston went on to lose 7-4 against Montford. Thurston lost 5-4 to Ontario's Cathy Auld where Thurston responded with a 7-3 win over Aileen Sormunen (Blaine, USA). Thurston won 7-2 against Ontario's Erin Morrissey in their final qualifying round match.
 
Thurston earned 11.375 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the DEKALB Superspiel, remaining in 13th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 98.486 total points. Thurston ranks 9th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 76.611 points earned so far this season.
