Shawn Plesnick (Villanova, PA) lost 8-1 to Marina Hauser (Green Bay, WI) in the Final of the USA College Curling Championship, held March 14 - 16, 2014 in Blaine, Minnesota.
 
Plesnick finished 2-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Plesnick defeated TBA (Bowling Green, OH) 1-0, then went on to lose 8-2 against Alex Hull (Hamilton, NY). Plesnick responded with a 7-1 win over Aaron Johnston (Milwaukee, WI) in their final qualifying round match.
