Kim went on to lose 6-5 against Isabella Wrana (Sundbyberg, SWE). Kim responded with a 7-5 win over Alina Kovaleva (Moscow, RUS). Kim won 7-5 against Veronica Zappone (Pinerolo, ITA), then won 8-6 against Zuzana Hajkova (Prague, CZE) in their final qualifying round match.
