In their opening game, Pottinger defeated Sarah Anderson (Philadelphia, PA) 6-4, then won 6-4 against Cassie Potter (St. Paul, MN) and 10-2 against Amy Lou Anderson (St. Paul, MN). Pottinger won 9-5 against Gabrielle Coleman (Seattle, WA), then won 11-1 against Caitlin Maroldo (Rochester, NY) and 8-5 against Abigayle Lindgren (Grand Forks, ND).
