Stjerne won 9-2 against Bent Kristoffersen (Esbjerg, DEN), then won 7-2 against Tommy Stjerne (Hvidovre, DEN) and 8-4 against Torkil Svensgaard (Hvidovre, DEN). Stjerne won 6-5 against Krause, then won 8-4 against Ulrik Damm (Taarnby, DEN) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Danish National Championship Championship title, Stjerne earned 4.000 world rankings points.
