Jamie Newson (Charlottetown, PEI) lost 6-4 to Eddie MacKenzie (Charlottetown, PEI) in the Final of the PEI Tankard, held February 5 - 9, 2014 in Montague, Prince Edward Island.

Newson finished 3-0 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Newson defeated Donald Clarey (Montague, PEI) 8-4, then won 9-6 against Tyler Harris (Charlottetown, PEI) and 8-4 against MacKenzie in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the PEI Tankard, Newson take home 2.500 world rankings points, moving up 42 spots the World Ranking Standings into 152nd place overall with 6.900 total points. Newson ranks 122nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 5.525 points earned so far this season.
