Jakubo went on to lose 7-5 against Currie. Jakubo responded with a 8-7 win over Bryan Burgess (Thunder Bay, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

Jakubo earned 2.000 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Travelers Northern Ontario Tankard, moving up 6 spots the World Ranking Standings into 116th place overall with 12.428 total points.
