To advance to the championship game, Currie won 5-4 over Mike Jakubo (Sudbury, NONT) in the semifinals of the 2014 Travelers Northern Ontario Tankard in Timmins, Ontario;
Currie finished 5-2 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Currie defeated Trevor Bonot (Thunder Bay, ON) 9-3, then went on to lose 8-5 against Adams Jr.. Currie responded with a 8-5 win over Robbie Gordon (Sudbury, ON). Currie went on to lose 8-7 against Dylan Johnston (Thunder Bay, ON). Currie responded with a 6-4 win over Bryan Burgess (Thunder Bay, ON). Currie won 7-5 against Jakubo, then won 6-4 against Dan Lemieux (Sault Ste Marie, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Travelers Northern Ontario Tankard Championship title, Currie earned 4.000 world rankings points, moving up 12 spots the World Ranking Standings into 82nd place overall with 20.415 total points. Currie ranks 55th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 17.565 points earned so far this season.
