In their opening game, China's Rui Liu defeated New Zealand's Peter De Boer 6-4, then went on to lose 8-3 against Chinese Taipei's Randie Shen. China's Rui Liu lost 11-5 to Korea's Soo-Hyuk Kim. China's Rui Liu lost 10-3 to Japan's Yusuke Morozumi where China's Rui Liu responded with a 10-1 win over Australia's Hugh Millikin. China's Rui Liu won 9-2 against New Zealand's Peter De Boer, then won 7-3 against Chinese Taipei's Randie Shen and 7-3 against Korea's Soo-Hyuk Kim. China's Rui Liu went on to lose 8-7 against Japan's Yusuke Morozumi. China's Rui Liu responded with a 9-3 win over Australia's Hugh Millikin in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Pacific-Asia Curling Championships Championship title, China's Rui Liu earned 11.250 world rankings points, moving up 3 spots the World Ranking Standings into 15th place overall with 124.280 total points. China's Rui Liu ranks 14th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 57.350 points earned so far this season.
