Carey went on to lose 10-3 against Kim Link (Winnipeg, MB). Carey responded with a 7-5 win over Kate Cameron (Balmoral, MB). Carey won 7-5 against Darcy Robertson (Winnipeg, MB). Carey went on to lose 7-3 against Einarson in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Manitoba Scotties Championship title, Carey earned 9.520 world rankings points, dropping 1 spots on the World Ranking Standings into 8th place overall with 222.020 total points. Carey ranks 11th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 86.020 points earned so far this season.
