After advancing directly to the championship game, Kathy O'Rourke (Charlottetown, PEI) lost 6-4 to Kim Dolan (Charlottetown, PEI) in the Final of the PEI Scotties, held January 9 - 12, 2014 in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island.

O'Rourke finished 4-0 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, O'Rourke defeated Suzanne Birt (Charlottetown, PEI) 8-6, then won 8-4 against Dolan and 7-1 against Lisa Jackson (Charlottetown, PEI). O'Rourke won 8-3 against Shirley Berry (Cornwall, PEI) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the PEI Scotties, O'Rourke take home 2.500 world rankings points, moving up 18 spots the World Ranking Standings into 126th place overall with 5.700 total points. O'Rourke ranks 103rd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 4.000 points earned so far this season.
