Nicol lost 7-5 to Julie Hastings (Thornhill, ON) where Nicol responded with a 9-3 win over Dawna Premo (Sault Ste Marie, ON). Nicol went on to lose 9-4 against Tracy Horgan (Sudbury, ON). Nicol lost 10-4 to Julie Reddick (Toronto, ON) where Nicol responded with a 10-5 win over Ashley Kallos (Thunder Bay, ON). Nicol went on to lose 8-5 against Cathy Auld (Toronto, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
