Montford finished 3-1 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Montford lost 4-2 to D'Arcy Maywood (Winnipeg, MB), then responded with a 8-4 win over Janet Harvey (Winnipeg, MB). Montford won 7-1 against Maywood, then won 6-4 against Brown in their final qualifying round match.
