Peter De Boer (Naseby, NZ) finished 3-4 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, De Boer defeated Finland's Aku Kauste 6-4, then went on to lose 7-6 against John Shuster (Duluth, USA). De Boer responded with a 8-3 win over Yusuke Morozumi (Nagano, JPN). De Boer went on to lose 10-6 against Korea's Soo-Hyuk Kim. De Boer lost 6-5 to Johnny Jahr (Fuessen, GER) where De Boer responded with a 8-4 win over Thomas Dufour (Chamonix, FRA). De Boer went on to lose 7-6 against Jiri Snitil (Prague, CZE) in their final qualifying round match.

De Boer earned 3.000 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 18 of the event schedule, De Boer did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. De Boer ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
