To advance to the championship game, Kolomaya won 5-2 over Bob Sigurdson (Winnipeg, MB) in the semifinals of the 2013 Nott Autocorp Thanksgiving Charity Open in Winnipeg, Manitoba; and won 5-4 over Sean Grassie (Winnipeg, MB) in the quarterfinals.
Kolomaya finished 5-2 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kolomaya defeated Kyle Doering (winnipeg, MB) 7-2, then went on to lose 10-7 against Andrew Wickman (Winnipeg, MB).
