Bingyu Wang (Harbin, CHN) lost 9-4 to Mirjam Ott (Davos, SUI) in the Final of the Glynhill Ladies International, held January 17 - 19, 2014 in Glasgow, Scotland.
 
Wang finished 4-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Wang defeated Alina Paetz (Baden, SUI) 6-4, then won 8-1 against Hannah Fleming (Stirling, SCO). Wang went on to lose 5-2 against Silvana Tirinzoni (Aarau, SUI). Wang responded with a 8-4 win over Fabienne Furbringer (Uitikon, SUI). Wang won 5-3 against Ott in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Glynhill Ladies International Championship title, Wang earned 16.800 world rankings points along with the $4,621CDN first prize cheque. Wang move up 1 spots after posting a net gain of 10.55 points improving upon their best results so far this season, ranking 14th overall with 167.285 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Wang ranks 4th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 129.160 points earned so far this season.
