Markus Hoiberg (Oppdal, NOR) qualified for the 2014 German Masters playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 6-5 against Peter de Cruz (Geneva, SUI).

Hoiberg finished 4-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Hoiberg defeated Pascal Hess (Zug, SUI) 6-1, then won 7-2 against Logan Gray (Stirling, SCO) and 7-1 against David Sik (Prague, CZE). Hoiberg won 5-4 against Johnny Jahr (Fuessen, GER) in their final qualifying round match.
