McCleary responded with a 7-6 win over David Sik (Prague, CZE). McCleary won 6-4 against Kyle Smith (Perth, SCO). McCleary went on to lose 12-1 against Edwards in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Edinburgh International, McCleary take home 5.145 world rankings points along with the $3,364CDN prize, moving up 357 spots the World Ranking Standings into 159th place overall with 5.145 total points.
