Alina Paetz (Baden, SUI) qualified for the 2013 Shamrock Shotgun playoffs, set to play their quarterfinals match against Ayumi Ogasawara (Sapporo, JPN).

Paetz finished 2-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Paetz defeated Chana Martineau (Edmonton, AB) 7-2, then won 7-6 against Lisa Johnson (Spruce Grove, AB). Paetz went on to lose 5-3 against Leslie Rogers (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.

Paetz earned 1.125 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Shamrock Shotgun, dropping 1 spots on the World Ranking Standings into 32nd place overall with 41.453 total points. Paetz ranks 26th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 17.359 points earned so far this season.
