Matt Paul (Cleveland, OH) won 5-4 over Mike Aprile (Listowel, ON) in the Final of the Fort Wayne Summer Cash Spiel, held August 16 - 18, 2013 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. To advance to the championship game, Paul won 5-3 over Greg Eigner (Fort Wayne, IN) in the semifinals

Paul finished 3-0 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Paul defeated Erik Sheets (Villanova, PA) 11-3, then won 7-6 against Eigner and 5-3 against Sean Murray (Madison, WI) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Fort Wayne Summer Cash Spiel Championship title, Paul earned 0.000 world rankings points along with the $900CDN first prize cheque. For week of the event schedule, Paul did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Paul ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
